Prior to becoming a chiropractor, Dr Sam worked as an acupuncturist in Brisbane, but on a trip back to Vietnam visiting family, he was introduced to a principal chiropractor at a busy inner-city clinic. At his suggestion Sam spent a day with him, observing how seamless working in a multimodal practice appeared. This practice had chiropractic, massage, electrotherapy, rehab, auto-flexion distraction tables and digital patient file management and by the end of the day Sam was so inspired by what he had seen he joked “I want your job”. With encouragement from this chiropractor and with the inspiration Sam felt, he came back to Australia and completed a Graduate Diploma in Chiropractic Science followed by a Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in Sydney and he says “I have never looked back”.

Once graduated Dr Sam spent a few years in Sydney before relocating to Brisbane where he is principal chiropractor and director of the Moorooka Chiropractic Centre. Highlights as his career journey continues include ongoing teachings from extremely skilled practitioners in the realm of hands-on techniques and patient communications. Self-learning combined with passionate and excellent mentors sharing their experiences has sharpened his skills and  Dr Sam continues to enjoy the opportunity to combine different techniques such as diversified, activator, Thompson, Gonstead, ART, DNS and paediatrics to treat a wide variety of patients effectively.

Dr Sam is motivated to practice from a devotion to helping people and believing there needs to be a larger usage and presence of chiropractors in the community. A huge driver for Dr Sam to get out of bed every day and continue to learn about chiropractic is the difference he makes helping more people get faster results with their health. And family! Dr Sam says I am so grateful to have my wife and son in my life every day and that pushes me to be the best me I can be day to day in the clinic and home”.

Dr Sam has visions to continue to grow the Moorooka Chiropractic Centre which has 40+ years of providing chiropractic care to the community. His desire is to continue to uphold the professional integrity that has allowed the centre to stay open for so many years and give back to the chiropractic community by passing on what he has learnt, to the next generations of chiropractor. Moorooka Chiropractic Centre is ideating this at the moment with high hopes of turning this into a reality in the near future. We wish you well Dr Sam and team and look forward to sharing your continued journey.
