| Dr Leah Collard is a chiropractor at Moorooka Chiropractic Centre, treating neck pain, postural stress, headaches, repetitive strain injuries, lower back pain and hip and knee pain for patients across Brisbane's southside. She uses Diversified Technique, Drop Piece Technique, Activator Method, soft tissue therapy (including Active Release Technique), dry needling and cold laser therapy, tailoring her approach to each patient's lifestyle and goals. Dr Leah's own path into chiropractic began at age 18, when persistent back pain — later diagnosed as scoliosis — led her to see a chiropractor for the first time while playing field hockey and working in hospitality. That experience of relief sparked a passion that would shape her career. She went on to study at RMIT in Melbourne, graduating in 2019, before spending several years in private practice. Leah later relocated to Brisbane, where she worked as a Workplace Health Provider supporting employees recovering from repetitive strain injuries in manual labouring roles, before a period working in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She has since returned to Brisbane to join the team at Moorooka Chiropractic Centre. Dr Leah brings this varied background — personal experience as a patient, clinical practice and workplace health expertise — to every consultation, with a particular focus on clear communication and flexibility around each patient's individual needs. |
Leah takes a hands-on, patient-focused approach, using a combination of:
Dr Leah loves working with all kinds of people - the key ingredient is an open mind and a willingness to understand that healing takes time. She's especially in her element with those who thrive on clear communication and a bit of extra flexibility around sensory needs or routine. Whether you're a bookworm or gamer who finds it tricky to stay active, or a hiker, runner or adventure-seeker pushing your body to its limits, she'll meet you where you are and build a plan that fits your lifestyle.
Outside the clinic, Leah is usually running, at the gym, or out walking her dog. She's also a keen reader, always has music on, and loves a good food adventure trying new restaurants with friends whenever she gets the chance.
