Starting with a new type of treatment, or even a new practitioner can be daunting. However, with Moorooka Chiropractic Centre, the moment you enter our warm, friendly environment you will be made to feel totally at ease. Our experienced team will do whatever it takes to ensure that your visit with us is a pleasant one.
A warm welcome is number one on our list - you will be greeted by our friendly front desk team member and your practitioner.
When you book your first appointment with us, you will receive a confirmation email, with a link to an Online New Patient Form. If you haven’t filled out the form online, we will ask you to fill it out before you see your practitioner. So please fill it out online, or arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.
Our chiropractor will discuss your concerns in more depth to gain accurate information about your issues. They will perform a thorough examination incorporating orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic tests.
These tests will help determine the type, severity of your issue and what causes it. If necessary, your chiropractor may also refer you for x-rays or scans to provide more detailed information about a specific condition. Combining all this information gives us a clearer picture to be able to deliver the best possible recommendations for your health.
We could provide some treatment at this stage to aid relief. However, as your safety is very important to us, if further investigations are required before commencing treatment, your chiropractor will inform you at the appointment.
An initial appointment is essential even if you have had chiropractic treatment before - because it gives our chiropractors important information about your condition, your body and your health in order to provide you with safe and effective treatment.
If you are referred for a scan, on your next visit, your chiropractor will discuss all the information collected from your initial visit and any further investigations that were requested. This consultation gives a detailed explanation of chiropractic care and how it is relevant to your individual situation. Your chiropractor will make specific recommendations as to the most appropriate action to take in correcting your condition.
Massage and myotherapy appointment time is according to your appointment booking. However, please note that includes time to get change (before and after), any assessment required and massage/myotherapy treatment.
There are many factors that can impact our patient flow. Therefore, to help us provide the best possible care for all patients, we ask that you’re on time for your appointment.
However, we understand the roads can be unpredictable and things might come up, so if you run late, please give us a call.
If time allows, we can wait for you or manage our schedules to accommodate. When time doesn’t allow, we will find another time for your appointment to avoid delaying other patients and to make sure that you receive the treatment you need for your condition.
The nature of chiropractic dictates that doctors never know what will come through our door - every patient and every problem is unique.
While we make every effort to run appointments on time, delays are possible due to unavoidable patient circumstances, such as the need to attend to a patient with an acute pain. If your appointment time is delayed, we thank you for understanding that this is likely because there is a sicker patient ahead of you who requires more attention. Rest assured that the same high standard of care will also be offered to you should you ever require similar attention.
We appreciate your kindness and respect shown to our staff and other patients at all times.
Should you’re tight with time, please mention it to our front desk team.
Your chiropractor will adapt to almost anything - whether you’ve come straight from work or heading to work, or from the gym. We use towels when required. That said, if time allows, some patients change into comfortable clothing before their appointment.
Street parking is available. Parking in front of our clinic, on Beaudesert Road, is 1P and subject to availability. More parking is also available on Goodwin Terrace, which only takes a few minutes to walk to our clinic.
Some patients park at the shopping centre across Beaudesert Road. It’s about a 3 minute walk to our clinic.

Symptomatic Care - This stage of care is aimed at reducing your pain or symptom as quickly as possible. This is usually the most intensive stage of care, and aims to restore joint function and control inflammation as quickly as possible.
Corrective Care - Corrective care addresses the long-term, bad habits of your spinal movement. It can help retrain how your spine moves. It can also help prevent relapses or similar injuries later. Corrective care requires consistent, regular adjustments over weeks or months, depending on the case. At pre-determined intervals, full progress examinations take place in order to measure your progress.
Health / Wellness Care - As part of a natural, healthy lifestyle, people recognize that in addition to nutrition, exercise and emotional balance, proper body function is essential for good health. Regular chiropractic check-ups help ensure that the body continues to work at its best and sorts out any minor issues before they become symptomatic. Just like tending your garden or maintaining your car, little bits often reduce the need for major overhauls.
Note - This is intended as a guide only and will vary depending on how quickly you respond to care. Remember... The body’s healing methods are complex and thorough. They take time. Patience and perseverance are essential.
